Support Your “Other” Local Media

Local Blogs - Raleigh North CarolinaSince launching RFP, I’ve tried to completely immerse myself in all of the Raleigh news sources I can find. Luckily, this isn’t too difficult in today’s online world, were hyperlinks abound and search engines know more about us than our own mothers. Without a doubt, some of my favorite finds have been local writers like myself who have taken it on themselves to publish their view of Raleigh. In doing so, they’ve started some excellent conversations and helped to fuel a wonderful channel of small-scale online publishing.

Hopefully you’ll find one or two in this list that you haven’t visited before, and if I’ve missed any - which I’m sure I have, please add them to the list.

(Note: these are listed in no particular order. Also, I don’t put them in the same category as those above, but Raleigh Chronicle deserves mention too.)

    I post about Raleigh stuff on my blog, but it is primarily a personal account of things I do, see, feel, etc. so not really news-worthy…but i love love love this site, and a few others I found, which is where I get fodder for some of my own writings. I had only been looking at raleighing for awhile but once it shut down, I saw these other links posted and took a look. They are my faves and I’ll be adding them as links from my blog. Good work and I will support this and others for the real news. Thanks for posting a list - some of these I have not yet seen.
